Can we combine the mosquito and mist cooling systems in one?
Question by: Thomas on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
No, it is not recommended trying to do this as the pesticides should not run in the same line for cool misting.

I have a mosquito misting system in my backyard. Some nozzles do no spray but just dripping. Should I replace the nozzles or clean them? (nozzle part# hls-012-30-ss) If you recommend replacing the nozzles, how can I find the nozzles (hls-012-30-ss)?
Question by: mbay on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
Cleaning the nozzles should be the first thing to try.

What is the coverage area for the basic system? My yard is 110 x 135
Question by: brian on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
Mosquito mist nozzles are usually attached on the perimeter of the fence with 10ft spacing. Additional nozzles can be added strategically near the patio and main seating areas as needed. It seems like you have approximately 350 linear feet of coverage needed. Therefore, 35 nozzle system will be sufficient.
Answer by: Admin on Dec 6, 2021, 12:18 AM
I am trying to determine how many nozzles I need. How do you calculate that? Or, what is the typical spacing of the nozzles. Or, how many square feet you cover with one nozzle? Thanks--Michael
Question by: m.willy on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
Recommended spacing for nozzles for mosquito misting system is 8-10ft.
Answer by: Admin on Dec 6, 2021, 12:19 AM

What about wind? How many square feet per nozzle per minute? How long is a misting effective?
Question by: Mike on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
Nozzles for mosquito systems should be spaced out every 8-10ft apart. With daily usage of 2-3 cycles, mosquito systems are very effective at keeping mosquitoes away.
Answer by: Admin on Dec 6, 2021, 12:19 AM
Can this system be used for cooling on a patio as well as mosquito control. Can you tell the system to moist mist only without pulling the pyrethrum?
Question by: Timothy on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
No. This system cannot be converted to a misting system, it can convert to an odor control system. The mist that is dispersed is determined by the size of nozzle you would like to use, once you are sure of the amount of mist you want and how you will use this product then we will be able to determine which nozzle will best suit your needs.

How would you install if you have no fence to hang from? My entertaining area is 200 x 300.
Question by: Steve S on Oct 21, 2021, 12:06 AM
Riser assemblies can be used to install nozzles in locations where there are no mounting points. Tubing can be buried under ground and mist nozzles will be installed on the stainless steel risers at desired locations.
