This is brass nickel-plated, but we do have a separate listing for stainless steel as well.

Can these be used in 3/8 inch nylon tubing to replace brass slip lock couplers? Do they leak at all?

Yes they can be used on 3/8 Nylon Tubing - OD If fitted properly they do not leak. We also carry the push lock fittings for 3/8 Thank you
